Our Gallery Series Lake, Coastal, and City Maps represent the highest level of craftsmanship and storytelling at Grant Reid Designs—created for places where water defines the identity of the landscape.
 
These maps highlight shorelines, coastlines, waterways, and urban features with precision and depth, making them ideal for lake homes, coastal towns, historic cities, and places where life is shaped by proximity to the water. Each piece is meticulously designed and laser-cut into six carefully stacked layers, creating dimensional relief that brings both geography and place into sharp focus.
Every Gallery map is hand-finished and assembled from premium 1/4" birch, resulting in a substantial overall profile—approximately 1½ inches thick—that delivers strong shadow lines, durability, and a commanding physical presence on the wall. This is not decorative wall art; it is a centerpiece.
 
Immersive Storytelling — Included Standard
Every Gallery Series Lake, Coastal, and City map includes a QR code–linked historical narration as standard.
By scanning the QR code, viewers can explore the story behind the place—its settlement, cultural significance, maritime history, or defining moments that shaped the region. This immersive element transforms the map from a static object into a living artifact, deepening the emotional connection to the location it represents.
 
Optional Personalization — Your Story, Preserved
For those who want a more personal experience, the immersive narration can be upgraded to feature custom content in place of the historical story.

Craftsmanship & Presence
All Gallery Series Lake, Coastal, and City maps are constructed entirely from 1/4" premium birch, chosen for its strength, stability, and clean edge definition. Natural wood variation is embraced, but visible flaws are not. If a piece cannot meet Grade-A quality standards, it is remade—without exception.
